Expectations on Maxwell, Dhoni, Smith to bounce back

The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) consisted full of ups and downs and excitement. Several dead-rubber fights were converted to adventurous ends. At the same time, a few one-sided matches proved that Mumbai Indians were the strongest team to beat.

In its aftermath, the IPL 2020 had seen many players shine and even a few stars who failed to deliver according to their repute. MS Dhoni can be a clear example in this context. In the post-2019 World Cup phase, Dhoni seems to have lost his old touch as once one of the best ‘finishers’ had failed to finish off in the IPL matches last year.

Here in this article, efforts have been taken to find out 5 flops of IPL 2020 that can be hit in IPL 2021.

But in the last IPL Smith's form declined. Having played 14 matches for Rajasthan Royals Smith had amassed 311 runs in the IPL 2020. Dinesh Karthik can also be on the list of 5 flops of IPL 2020 who can be hit in IPL 2021. Dinesh Karthik is a batsman who has the ability to hit clean and big shots. His perfect wicket-keeping ability was overshadowed by his batting skill. His consistent form with the bat guided Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Lions to sign the cricketer also. Karthik has gathered 3823 in 196 IPL matches in his career. Although he has not been able to score a century, Karthik has 19 fifties in his kitty.
