He made his ODI debut in December 2004 against Bangladesh and played his first Test a year later against Sri Lanka with an incredible inning. Dhoni has been the recipient of many awards and accolades due to his performance, including the ICC ODI Player of the Year award in 2008 and 2009 (the first player to win the award twice), the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award in 2007, the Padma Shri award which is one of the most prestigious awards for a cricketer or any Indian, the fourth highest civilian honour, in 2009 and the Padma Bhushan, India's third-highest civilian honour, in 2018. Dhoni has tons of records in cricket and from those, we will mention highlights of MS Dhoni

In one ODI at home against England he scored around 134 for 122 balls for which we are absolutely stunned, this also included a 256 run partnership in the series.

Here are some of the other highlights of his career

1) He had his famous ‘Helicopter Shot’ which he used to often use when he was playing for test series, ODI etc. HE is also the death over specialist.

2) E scored more than 148 or 150 runs at a go in the One day International, that was held in Vishakhapatnam.

3) Dhoni, of course, had an excellent year in 2009 with incredible innings of 24 and scoring 1198 runs in total, which is a humongous one.

4) Sometimes he had his unusual batting playing the jingles of his winning, like a shot that was taken in a match which was held in 2013. His field placements and tactics always came handy.

5) He reached the milestone affecting 400 dismissals at a go in ODI February 2018, what brilliant match innings he had in every case.

6) His wicket-keeping was also very sober yet intelligent in all perspective.

7) He made India attain number 1 position in the test series area as well, what bliss for him. He was also a part of India’s first-ever T20 match and as usual, India won the match in that series, every time he touches the bat India has seen triumph over and over again.
