Icc World Cup 2023 – List Of Venues

The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 will be hosted completely by India and will be the 13th edition of the men’s Cricket World Cup. The global event will start from 9th February and last till 26th March 2023. The Last three times India got to host partially with Pakistan and Bangladesh respectively in – 1987,1996, and 2011.  

In this edition, the tournament will be played between 10 teams. For the ICC World Cup 2023, the top seven sides and hosts India will qualify to play automatically. Five remaining teams along with five associate nations will play in the 2022 Cricket World Cup Qualifier, from which two teams will qualify to play in the World Cup. A total of 48 matches will be played in this edition and it will be played in the Round-Robin format.

The previous ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 was hosted by England and Wales, who have hosted the event 4 other times in the past including the first World Cup which was won by the West Indies in the year 1975. England won their first World Cup title in the 2019 edition at home becoming the third team to do so. The other team to have won a World Cup title at home in India who did it in the 2011 edition becoming the first host country to win the title at home, Australia also did it in 2015.

India has won the title two times in 1983 and 2011. They are also the first team to win the title at home. This time the World Cup will be played completely in India.
