India Vs England 2nd ODI Match Preview

Surya Kumar Yadav may get into the playing eleven in Iyer’s absence

India Vs England 2nd ODI preview is going to indicate immensely potential Surya Kumar Yadav is likely get into the playing eleven of the Indian squad for its 2nd One Day International, to be held on Friday on 26th March at Pune. Shreyas Iyer has already been ruled out of the field due to his dislocated shoulder and his absence is likely to make Yadav’s debut in the ODI. After his blistering innings in the Twenty20 first outings Yadav’s chances of getting into the first eleven looks certain.

Following an easy victory over the visitors in the 1st ODI, Virat Kohli’s Team India must be in a pleasing mood, but not for the 1-0 lead only, with its strong reserve bench also. Ravindra Jadeja has not been in the team for almost last three months but Team India has obtained Axar Patel in Test and now Krunal Pandya in ODI. Prasidh Krishna, the debutant in ODI has shown his potential already. So, once Jadeja or Bumrah and Shami get back into the team these new comers will have to sit on the bench but Kohli and company will still be mentally relieved looking forward to the strong reserve bench that time.

India Vs England 2nd ODI preview should also mention another interesting part that Shikhar Dhawan has returned to runs with a match-winning 98. He was under pressure after being benched for a large part of the T20I series. Rohit Sharma also who has been in good touch will be trying to score in the 2nd ODI. In case the team’s think-tank plans to rest him tomorrow, then Shubman Gill can open the innings with Dhawan. India’s bowling line-up has least chance of being changed as Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Prasidh Krishna and Shardul Thakur were in beautiful form in the 1st ODI. Yuzvendra Chahal may replace Kuldeep Ydav who leaked 68 runs in 9 overs.

England however is in little more psychological pressure due to injuries of skipper Eoin Morgan and batsman Sam Billings before India Vs England 2nd ODI. Their middle-order batsmen also were not able to sustain in the 1st ODI. Their bowlers, except Ben Stokes have not also been able to put Indian batsmen in trouble. England has the only relief that Jonny Bairstow and Jason Roy, both the opening batsmen are in good touch who can set a solid opening partnership.
