England innings ended in 178 with Jo Root, the hero of the first innings with a magnificent double, was the top scorer also in the second innings with 40 off 32 deliveries before being LBW to Jasprit Bumrah. Shahbaz Nadeem the newcomer who came in replacing Kuldeep Yadav in the playing XI, has also picked up 2 wickets giving away 66 runs 15 overs. England were trying to revive their innings after Joe Root's departure through Olli Pope (28), Jos Buttler (24) and Dom Bess (25).
