RR V/S PBKS (Match 2) Pre-Match Analysis (Today’s Match Prediction) VIVO IPL 2021: Captain, Vice-captain, Fantasy gaming Tips, Probable Playing XIs for Delhi Capitals vs Chennai Super Kings T20 Match at Wankhede Stadium, 7:30 PM IST Saturday April 12, 2021

Head-to-Head

Who would have thought that Monday can have this vibe! Its game number 4 of this years Indian T20 league and there couldn’t be a better way to smash Monday Blues out of the park. When you think about a contest between this two teams, the only thing that comes to mind is Tewatia’ s five sixes off Sheldon Cottrell’s over! We might not witness the same contest again this year, as the Punjab side has made some replacements, but it surely will have some interesting contests between the players of these two teams. Along with one of the best batsmen in T20 cricket, David Malan, they also include the likes of Jhye Richardson, Riley Meredith and Fabian Allen which makes them a formidable side.

On the other hand, the Rajasthan Royals also have some interesting names in their side. Their batting order looks solid with plenty of options in David Miller, Liam Livingstone, Bes Stokes, and Chris Morris, who has been the costliest buy this year. They have a new young captain this year, Sanju Samson who has contributed a lot to every win in the past for the team and would go all out to lead his team to a second title win.

Pitch Conditions

The match will be played at the Wankhede stadium, Mumbai. Here, Teams batting first have an upper hand generally. The pitch has got good bounce, and the ball does not do much here, so both teams will look to earn some extra runs at the beginning.

Moreover, dew will also play an important factor so whoever wins the toss will look to bat first. This is good news for both teams as both teams have some really good hitters in their arsenal. This could be a high-scoring match after all.

Batting :

RR:

Rajasthan royals look like a really formidable side when it comes to their batting. Their batting goes really deep till the 7th wicket which is a strong point coming into a game like this when all other teams are scoring good runs and still those high scores are getting chased comfortably. They will be spoilt for choice with Jos Butler, David Miller, Liam Livingstone, Ben stokes and Chris Morris.  If they choose their combinations right, they can notch up 200 hundred runs on the board easily and give their opponent a run for their money.

PBKS:

Their batting order without a doubt looks like the most power packed if you compare them to other  teams. They have the Universe Boss Chris Gayle; they have the best T20 batsman Dawid Malan, they have their captain KL Rahul and youngsters like Mandeep Singh and Mayank Agarwal. In the middle they have players like Sarfaraz and Shahrukh while in the tail end they have someone like Moises Henriques who can smash a few out of the park when the need be. All in all they look like a batting side to play against. The first match will give them a good idea of which attack to go with.

Bowling:

RR:

They have plenty of good options with Jofra Archer leading their attack and Jaydev Unadkat following up. Along with that they have Mustafizur Rehman and Andrew Tye who can take they game away on a good day, while Kuldeep Yadav, Mayank Markande, KC Cariappa provide them with plenty of options to choose from the spin department. The Wankhede is going to be a batting friendly pitch, they will have to make sure they play their cards right and utilize their spin resources as much as they can.

PBKS:

This year they have made some serious changes to their bowling department after their failure to live up to expectations last year. They have the likes of Chris Jordan, Jhye Richardson, Riley Meredith and of course India pacer, Mohammed Shami. They will have three good spin options in Ravi Bishnoi, Murugan Ashwin and Saurabh Kumar. Their bowling was a serious area of concern last year and this year they will be looking to turn it around.

IPL 2021 Match - 4 RR vs PBKS Head to Head Prediction

Match Prediction:

Punjab will be desperately trying to find their feet early in the tournament, with a bad season behind their back. Last time they were barely looking like the team they actually are. The problem with them last season was their consistency.  If they really want to win this, they will have to come all guns blazing and that is looking like a far cry as of now.

Rajasthan, on the other hand, will be coming into the match knowing that CSK are low on confidence and therefore the former will try to dominate the match from ball 1. Their batting order is strong, but the middle order will have to fire tonight, and the bowling will have to support equally.
