Head-to-Head
Hell of a weekend this is turning out to be! We move on to the Narendra Modi stadium for match number 29. Yes, it is the second game of Super Sunday which will be played between the Punjab Kings and the Delhi Capitals. This game is going to be interesting because both teams are coming into this competition on the back of magnificent wins. Delhi capitals are coming into this match after a thumping victory against the Kolkata Knight Riders by 7 wickets where they chased down the target like it was child’s play. Prithvi Shaw humiliated the Kolkata bowling attack by smashing 6 boundaries in the first over of the chase. He ripped apart the KKR bowling attack and went on to score 82 off just 41 balls, helping his team win the contest with 7 wickets and 3 overs to spare. Earlier, the bowlers set the tone by getting KKR out for a small score. So, the Delhi team will be hoping to carry on this dominance in the next match as well.
Punjab in their previous game outsmarted the in-form Royal Challengers Bangalore and forced them down the table. Skipper KL Rahul played a captain’s innings and smashed 91 of just 57 balls. Gayle provided some support by scoring a quick 46 off just 24 balls and helped the team to a competitive score. Then the game was well set for the bowlers to take over. The star of the show was Harpreet Brar who took three massive wickets and broke the backbone of RCB. He took the wicket wickets of Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell and AB de Villiers.

Match Prediction
The match is going to take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The ground is big and has long boundaries. The ball spins here a fair bit and will help the spinners early on in the match. Both the teams have equal amount of fire power to sustain on this pitch. It will be interesting to see who dominates here as both preformed well with their bowling attack in their previous match.
Batting
PBKS:
Their batting order is still a power packed line-up if you compare them to other teams. They have the Universe Boss Chris Gayle; they have the best T20 batsman Dawid Malan, they have their captain KL Rahul and youngsters like Mandeep Singh and Mayank Agarwal. In the middle they have players like Sarfaraz and Shahrukh while in the tail end they have someone like Moises Henriques who can smash a few out of the park when the need be. All in all they look like a batting side to play against. This match will give them a good idea of which attack to go with.
DC:
Delhi is a batting line-up that boasts of some really good hitters from the Indian team like Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant, Prithvi Shaw and Ajinkya Rahane. Dhawan and Shaw are in excellent touch while Pant provides ample support in the middle. Rahane is yet to find a spot in the line-up. Marcus Stoinis helps the team finish well with Shimron Hetmyer. They have not gone for Steve Smith, yet which is a surprise given his ability to hit the ball. Chris Woakes is also a good option in the tail end. All in all their line up looks fairly good to take on a side like Punjab Kings.
Bowling
PBKS:
This year they have made some serious changes to their bowling department after their failure to live up to expectations last year. They have the likes of Chris Jordan, Jhye Richardson, Riley Meredith and of course India pacer, Mohammed Shami. They will have three good spin options in Ravi Bishnoi, Murugan Ashwin and Saurabh Kumar. Their bowling was a serious area of concern last year and this year they will be looking to turn it around. In the last match Harpreet Brar, the mystery spinner spun his web and cleaned out the other team, so he will be a key player in this match as well.
DC:
In their last encounter, Delhi capitals showed that they are not a below average unit. They have got some exceptional talent in every department. Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje have done really well to keep the team afoot along with Marcus Stoinis. Avesh Khan has been refreshing to watch this season as. It will be great if Amit Mishra can join the party soon. Also, it will be interesting to see which combination they bring out in this contest to strengthen the line-up. Ashwin will be missed in this contest as he has taken some off to be with his family.
