2022 T20 World Cup from 16th October, MCG to stage final on 13th November
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has declared the dates and venues of the 2022 Twenty20 World Cup that will commence on 16th October and will take place in the country's different cities. Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) will host the final on 13th November. However, a total of 45 matches will be staged in Adelaide, Brisbane, Geelong, Hobert, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney. Both the semifinal matches will be played on 9th and 10th November in Sydney, respectively. Defending champions Australia and other 11 countries including New Zealand, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh have already qualified for the Super-12 stage of the competition while Sri Lanka, West Indies, Scotland, Namibia, and four more teams will feature in the first round. The official fixture will be released in January.
