‘Always there through ups and down’: Rohit Sharma’s message on Mother's Day
Rohit Sharma, captain of the Mumbai Indians, took Twitter to share a series of pictures of his wife Ritika, daughter Samaira and mother Purnima to extend his wishes on the occasion of Mother's Day. Along with the pictures, Rohit wrote an adorable message to reveal what makes a mother "special". "The first shoulder to rest, first shoulder to climb on and celebrate, or first shoulder to cry unconditionally a Mother is always there through ups and downs," Rohit captioned the pictures on Instagram.
'Whether you are crossing the finish line like a champ or last, she will always be there applauding your efforts. That's what makes her special! Happy mother's day,' he added. Rohit was in Delhi with the Mumbai Indians or the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) before several Covid cases within the bio-secure bubble forced the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and IPL Governing Council to defer the IPL indefinitely.
