Conway's century boosts New Zealand's score against Pakistan to 309-6

On the 2nd Jan with a score of 122 on the opening day of the second test in Karachi, New Zealand's opening batsman Devon Conway led the early dominance of Pakistan. However, the Karachi crowd rallied in the final session to keep their guests to 309-6 at the end of play on Monday.

Conway put up partnerships of 134 and 100 with Tom Latham and Kane Williamson, respectively, to help the visitors, who had elected to bat first, get off to a strong start in front of a sparsely populated National Stadium audience.

Conway made 110 runs in almost 191 balls. He also made sixteen boundaries and his fourth century was completed with a six hitted by him in test cricket.

Conway told reporters that the journey had been enjoyable thus far as his century catapulted him above 1,000 test runs. It's good to get the chance to take part and help the squad because I've only played in a few test games.

When batting with Tommy Latham and Kane, we were able to create some strong partnerships, which was great.

Conway, Henry Nicholls, and Daryl Mitchell were among the five wickets Pakistan took in the last session, which allowed them to ultimately halt New Zealand's momentum from continuing into the evening.

Salman has said to the reporters that when he gets a chance to bowl, he always tries to offer as much as he can.

I think the wicked will start to change as the test progresses because it seems to have more bite than it did in the prior exam.

Ish Sodhi and Tom Blundell both finished almost 30 game winning streaks.

The two game series was tied at 0-0 as a result of the draw in the first game, which was also played in Karachi.

After the second test, the two teams will play three international one-day games in Karachi.

Shaheen Afridi, who has been sidelined since sustaining a knee injury during the T20 World Cup final in Melbourne on Nov.13, gave Pakistan a boost off the field on Monday when he started working with the medical team to rehabilitate.

The Pakistan Cricket Board said that while Shaheen would receive outstanding care, by making this choice, the medical staff will be able to track his recuperation and clear the way for a quick return to play.

According to the statement, the medical staff will decide next week if fast bowler Haris Rauf will be allowed to participate in the ODI series.
