Dravid hails Ashin as an absolute match-winner

India failed to win the Kanpur Test match despite an energetic show by spin duo Rabindra Hadeja and R. Ashwin in the last two sessions of the fifth and concluding day following a memorable fight shown by debutant Rachin Ravindra and last Ajaz Patel for the last 52 deliveries that helped New Zealand to end the Test in a draw. Ashwin finished the match with 6 for 117 and crossed Harbhajan Singh to become India's third-highest wicket-taker. Team India's chief coach Rahul Dravid was in all praise for the off-spinner stating, "He is one of those guys who can be called an absolute match-winner. Even today on a difficult track, the last 11 overs Ashwin bowled were simply phenomenal." Dravid who himself played with Ashwin at the end of his career, added, "He has evolved a lot. He is a guy who continuously learns and thinks about the game. I am really happy to have someone like him in the dressing room."
