Gambhir claims that Rohit and Kohli will play a significant role in the ODI World Cup

Former India opener Gautam Gambhir said that seniors like skipper Rohit Sharma and brilliant spinner Virat Kohli would heavily influence the ODI World Cup, which will be held in the nation later this year.

Gambhir says that in the 50-over format, India needs to find brave players and have a variety of cricketers. In a format like 50 overs, you absolutely need a mix of all kinds of players, so you first need to find those who are fearless.

Some athletes have the ability to back up their innings. Gambhir mentioned on the Star Sports program "Road to World Cup Glory" that a shift in duty also made a big difference.

One analyst claims that players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and all those other guys who can anchor their innings and maybe spin efficiently will be significantly impacted by the 2019 World Cup. The politician-turned-cricketer claimed that by including two balls from each end, the ODI format had been changed.

"From one new ball at a time, the number has increased to two, each with five fielders inside. As a result, the idea of a part-time employee no longer applies. The finger spinner chase is also insufficient, as Gambhir explained, and the reverse swings are no longer seen frequently enough.

However, whenever India promotes this new strategy, I always believe that players who can quickly adapt to those roles or templates should be identified.

Gambhir asserts that India must commit to a group of players and provide them with opportunities to perform in order to win the ODI World Cup at home. It is possible for people who play more than three different formats of cricket to take a break from Twenty20 cricket, but not from One Day Internationals. They established communication between themselves through games.

"The players haven't played enough cricket together, which is what Indian cricket has done most poorly in the last two World Cups.

How many times have our top 11 players been active? He responded, "We haven't. We opted to only use our best starting lineup at the World Cup, but that lineup was never our best starting lineup.

Gambhir says that Indian cricketers should prioritize playing 50-over cricket for the World Cup and, if necessary, skip the Indian Premier League. Regardless of whether they want to skip the T20 or IPL, these guys need to play enough white-ball cricket to get ready for the 50-over World Cup.

However, the break must take place in the T20 format, not 50 overs. Franchisees must suffer if they must. Indian cricket, not the IPL, is the main player. In reality, IPL is a byproduct.

"He stated that if India wins the World Cup, it will have a larger ring and a larger cheering section." It is acceptable for a key player to miss IPL games because the IPL occurs annually and the World Cup only once every four years. So, in my opinion, the IPL is not as important as the World Cup.
