Laxman names future all-rounder of India

VVS Laxman, the former Indian international feels the changes in India's team for the forthcoming three-match Twenty20 series against New Zealand that is commencing on 17th November at Jaipur will be fruitful in the future. Laxman has explained that the newcomers in the team like Harshal Patel, Avesh Khan, Venkatesh Iyer will be seasoned and earn enough maturity before the next year's Twenty20 World Cup, to be held on the bouncy tracks in Australia. Especially, commenting on Hardik Pandya's omission from the team, Laxman has clarified that Venkatesh Iyer who had a consistent show in the last leg of the IPL 2021 in Dubai, can be a good all-rounder as Hardik's back-up with both his batting ability and bowling skill. According to Laxman, Venkatesh should be sent to bat in the middle-order position, not at the top-order position.
