Mandhana, the first Indian to hit a ton in BBL

Smriti Mandhan has become the first Indian female batter to have struck a century in the Women's Big Bash Cricket League in Australia, scoring a record-equaling unbeaten 114. Still, her excellent effort went in vain as her franchise club Sydney Thunders lost the match. Mandhana took only 64 deliveries to score the run, punishing opposition bowlers with 14 fours and three sixes. She placed her along with Australian batter Gardner's highest individual score in the WBBL history. Mandhana's India mate Harmanpreet Kaur was the bowler who forced Mandhana's team to concede defeat as the left-handed batter failed to hit the last ball six of the bowling of Harmanpreet and lost the match to Melbourne Renegades.
