Rashid Khan fastest bowler to reach 400th T20 wicket milestone
Afghanistan's premier leg-spinner Rashid khan picked up his 400th wicket on Sunday in the ongoing Twenty20 World Cup, capturing the prize wicket of New Zealand opener Martin Guptill and becoming the fastest bowler to have scalped 400 wickets in Twenty20 cricket. Rashid took 289 T20 matches to reach the milestone. Only three bowlers have achieved the feat so far. They are Dwayne Bravo, the first one to have reached the milestone in 364 Twenty20 matches. Bravo is also the first bowler to have crossed 500 T20 wickets. The West Indies all-rounder who just announced his retirement has scalped 553 wickets in 512 T20 matches. Two other bowlers are Imran Tahir and Sunil Narine. The 23-year old Rashid also holds the record of taking maximum wickets in a calendar year in T20 cricket, scalping 96 wickets in 2018.
