Yunis, Akram hails Lara ahead of Tendulkar
The duo of former Pakistani fast bowlers Wasim Akram and Waqar Yunis is still regarded as one of the best of their time amidst the flurry of great fast bowlers such as Walsh, Ambrose, Donald, McGrath, and Shaun Pollock. The duo is still hailed as the 'Sultan of Swing'. Both Yunis and Akram had bowled against a lot of great batsmen across the World but considering the batting prowess, the 1990s were being dominated by two greats such as Brian Lara and Sachin Tendulkar and the argument on who is better had started since they were at the helm of affairs in 1990s and the comparison between two great batters is still discussed. When asked, whose mind they used to read before bowling, both Yunis and Akram initially had stuttered. Then they admitted Lara was the batter whose mind they tried to read. Yunis also hailed Lara ahead of Tendulkar despite having admitted that Tendulkar was also one of the all-time greats.
