Zaheer Khan points out Kohli's mistake in the game plan
Former Indian fast bowler Zaheer Khan felt one of the major reasons behind Team India's disastrous 10-wicket defeat against Pakistan in Sunday's Twenty20 World Cup match was Indian skipper Virat Kohli's tactical mistake. According to Zaheer, Kohli should have asked Jasprit Bumrah to start with a new ball instead of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammad Shami. The former left-hand fast bowler stated Kohli could have used Bumrah in a different way. By the game was over you had under-utilized Bumrah." Bumrah was asked to bowl 18th over when Pakistan still required 17 runs to win but at the last moment, Kohli preferred to go with Shami that backfired as the right-arm pacer gave away 17 runs in only 4 deliveries.
