Jagadeesha Suchith is an Indian cricketer. He was born on 16th January 1994 in Mysore. He is a left-arm spinner and an effective left-handed batsman in the lower order.

Suchith started playing cricket when he was only 9 years old. He has played in every age group level. He never expressed any difficulty in traveling between Bangalore and Mysore almost every day.

Early signs

Suchith made his debut in first-class cricket for Karnataka against Bangladesh ‘A’ side in 2015. He managed only one wicket in the first innings in his 6 overs at the cost of 22 runs and with the willow Suchith also earned praise, scoring 41 off 115 deliveries. But in the second innings, the spinner shined, cracking Bangladesh innings with an inspiring bowling figure of 12 overs, 60 runs, and 6 wickets. Suchith has played in 17 first-class cricket matches. He has scored 284 runs and scalped 51 wickets including his best figure in a match of 9 for 109. At the same time, in 2014 Suchith began his journey in the List ‘A’ cricket in a Vijay Hazare Trophy match against Punjab. He managed only 1 wicket but in his debut season, Suchith claimed 12 wickets in only 6 matches at an impressive economy rate of 3.95. In the List ‘A’ game, Suchith has 27 wickets from 22 matches so far including his best figure of 5 for 34.

Suchith started his journey in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2015 well before his first-class debut took place and in his maiden IPL season with Mumbai Indians in 2015, Suchith captured 10 wickets having played in 13 matches at an economy rate of 8.64. Suchith, in his last seven years’ career in the League, has claimed 12 wickets in 15 matches and scored 54 runs. Jagdeesha Suchith has been purchased by Sunrisers Hyderabad for a base price of Rs 30 lakh for the IPL 2021.

T20 Career

Suchith made his debut in a domestic Twenty20 game in a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match against Goa in 2014. Suchith has played 58 T20 matches so far and claimed 51 wickets and scored 246 runs. His best bowling figure is so far 3 for 2 runs.
