T20 Career

Josh Philippe has not yet made a debut in Test, in One-Day International, and even in Twenty20 International match. But he has established his nerve in the shortest format of the game. He made his debut for the Twenty20 match for Perth Scorchers in the Australian T20 competition in Big Bash against Sydney Sixers in 2017. Jose finished his first season with three half-centuries in four innings and snatched the player-of-the-final award. He is such a big hitter that the spectators in the Big Bash league still remember one of his lofted shots in the competition last year that landed straight on the rooftop at Sydney Cricket Ground. Already before his debut in Big Bash, Josh Philippe had displayed a smashing 88 off 92 deliveries as an opening batsman for Western Australia against England in a warm-up match before the 2018 Ashes series. Josh Philippe was the third-highest run-scorer in the Big Bash last year with 487 runs and his explosive batting helped Sydney Sixers clinch their first Big Bash title. Jose Phillippe has played 51 T20 matches and scored 1330 runs including 10 fifties where his top score has been 95.
