Mahipal Lomror is an Indian cricketer. He was born on 16th November 1999 in Rajasthan. The 21-year old cricketer started his journey in cricket as a specialist batsman but later this left-handed batsman converted himself to an all-rounder where he bowls left-arm spin.

He is known for his aggression on the crease. He tends to offer big shots. Although Lomror has idolized Adam Gilchrist but former Mumbai wicket-keeper batsman Chandrakant Pandit hailed him as the ‘Chris Gayle of India’.

Early signs

Mahipal Lomror made his debut in first-class cricket for Rajasthan in Ranji Trophy in 2016-17. But already before his first-class debut, Lomror had an opportunity to don India shirts in the under-19 World Cup in 2016. He was able to impress in his second match against New Zealand by unleashing quick 45 runs as a lower-order batsman and capturing five wickets. But in his debut Ranji Trophy match Lomror scored only 5 runs, playing against Saurashtra. However, having played 33 first-class matches Lomror has scored 1953 runs including 4 centuries with his highest score of 133 runs, and with the ball, he has grabbed 39 wickets. Lomror has played 28 matches in the List ‘A’ game and scored 975 runs. Playing for under-19 India in a tri-series where Sri Lanka and England participated, Lomror drew attention by scalping 4 wickets for 10 runs in 5 overs against England.
