Rahul Tewatia overview

Rahul Tewatia is an Indian cricketer. He was born in Sihi village, Haryana. He is a left-hand batsman and right-arm leg-break bowler. His father Krishan Pal Tewatia is a criminal advocate. Rahul was passionate about the game since his childhood. He used to play cricket with a plastic ball and bat with one of his father's friends and following the friend's advice Rahul was put into the cricket.

Rahul started learning the game at Cricket Gurukul, the coaching academy run by former India wicket-keeper Vijay Yadav. He was only eight years old at that time. Vijay Yadav later revealed in a media conversation that Rahul was mentally and physically tough. But despite having impressed his coach with his hard-hitting batting ability, it became initially tough for Rahul to get into the Ranji Trophy as Haryana had reputed spinners at that time like Amit Misra, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Jayant Yadav.
