Early signs

On 19 July 2015 he made his Twenty20 International debut against Zimbabwe for India. He made his debut in the Ranji Trophy for the Kerala team on 3 November 2011 and was the vice-captain of under 19 Indian team.

Sanju Samson is a well-known personality in the IPL tournament. Initially, Samson was signed by the KKR in 2012 but didn’t get a game. Then, he started his IPL career by playing for the RR - Rajasthan against KXIP - Punjab in 2013. He was also a part of DC - Delhi. Sanju was brought back to the RR - Rajasthan by them in the 2018 IPL. He has played 93 matches in which he has scored 2,209 runs at a strike rate of 130.25. Sanju was retained by the RR ahead of the IPL 2020.
