Early signs

Shashank Singh represents Chhattisgarh in domestic cricket. He made his debut in first-class cricket in a Ranji Trophy match against Orissa in 2019. Shashank however in his maiden appearance was completely a failure, scoring 8 in the first innings and a zero in the second innings. Shashank however has played only 6 first-class matches and scored 202 runs at an average of 33.66 including his best score of 73. He has picked up 4 wickets in first-class cricket so far. But Shashank Singh made his debut in List ‘A’ game for Mumbai, playing in a Vijay Hazare Trophy match against Punjab at Hyderabad in 2015. He looked more effective in the limited-over format than his uneasiness in the four-day format. In his maiden List ‘A’ match Shashank struck a useful 39 off 39 deliveries, hitting 3 fours and 2 huge sixes. Shashank has scored 313 runs in 13 List ‘A’ matches so far at an average of 31.30 and a strike rate of 102.38 with his best score of unbeaten 63. In February 2017, the DC - Delhi team bought Shashank for the 2017 Indian Premier League for 10 lakhs. In the 2019 IPL, he was bought by the RR - Rajasthan and was also retained by the team for the IPL 2020.

T20 Career

Shashank Singh who has not yet begun his journey in the highest level of the game in any of the formats made his debut in Twenty20 matches in a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match for Mumbai against Orissa in 2015. Shashank, batting at number 4th position scored 21 off 13 deliveries hitting 3 fours and a six.
