Kartik Tyagi overview
Karthik Tyagi is an Indian cricketer. He was born on 8th November 2000 in Hapur in Uttar Pradesh. He is a right-hand medium pacer. Karthik’s father Yogendra was a farmer. Karthik used to help his father in farming since his childhood in their village. His father was a regular Shoot ball player which was highly popular in the village. Yogendra also used to press his son for working hard on the land to become a rich farmer in the future but Kartik had a passion for cricket and he started playing the game at the age of 10. However, he used to help his father by carrying a sack of corps and other weights every day. It kept him fit and stronger. Karthik however did not continue study after 9th standard because of his poor result as his interest was in cricket. His family also did not push him to continue the study.
After having failed to find out a proper academy Karthik's father finally found the coaching centre in Meerut, Vipin Vat's coaching centre where Bhuvneshwar Kumar honed the art of swing bowling. The villagers were not happy with Yogendra's decision of making Karthik a full-time cricketer. They even destroyed the nets that Yogendra built up beside his home. But finally, nothing could stop Tyagis. The coaching centre was almost 70 kilometres from their place. They had begun their journey in the early morning, riding two buses and rickshaw to reach the coaching centre finally. The 20-year-old bowler is a die-hard fan of Australian fast bowler Brett Lee and also has idolized Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Even, he also pays a lot of attributes to former Indian internationals Suresh Raina and Praveen Kumar for guiding him in such a way that helped Tyagi to uplift his bowling quality. Tyagi was one of the key members of the under-19 Indian team for the under-19 World Cup where he scalped 11 wickets.
