Oshane Thomas overview

Oshane Thomas is a right-arm fast bowler from West Indies. He was born on 18th February 1997 in Clarendon parish Jamaica. The place is also famous for its violence and frequent killings. Oshane Thomas did not have an easy childhood. He also used to witness violence every day and had seen his 16-year old brother shot and killed in front of his eyes when he was only 11 years old. Still, Thomas, overcoming violence and strife, established himself finally as a cricketer.

The fast bowler was noticed first by Chris Gayle at the nets when Thomas, studying in high school, was bowling at nets. That was 2016. Gayle was impressed by the bowling of Thomas and his recommendation helped him to become selected for Jamaica Tallawahs and having played in for only two matches that year Thomas drew attention. He participated in the semifinal and the final in the next year and his big gain was bowling Chris Gayle out for a duck. Gayle was representing St. Kitts Patriots in Caribbean Premier League.
