Basil Thampi overview

Basil Thampi is an Indian cricketer who made his first-class debut for Kerala in the 2014-15 Ranji Trophy on 6th February 2015. He was bought by the Gujrat Lions team for the 2017 IPL for INR 85 lakhs. During the 2017 season of IPL, Thampi received the "Emerging Player Award". Thampi was a net bowler for the Indian team during their four-match Test series against Australia in February–March 2017. In November 2017, he was named in India's Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for their series against Sri Lanka, but he could not play. In January 2018, he was bought by the SRH - Hyderabad in the 2018 IPL auction.
