Manish Pandey overview

Manish Krishnanand Pandey was born on 10th September 1989 in Nainital, he is an Indian cricketer and plays for Karnataka in domestic cricket. While Manish was in the third standard, he started playing cricket. Later he joined the Karnataka State Cricket Association.

Manish is a middle-order batsman who was also a member of the victorious Indian team in the 2008 Under-19 World Cup held in Malaysia, of the tournament.

Early signs

In the inaugural season of IPL, Manish was picked for the MI - Mumbai. He was released by the MI – Mumbai in the 2nd season of IPL and was bought by the RCB – Bangalore, he became the first Indian player to score a century in the IPL on 21st May 2009. He made his ODI debut against Zimbabwe on 14th July 2015 and on 17th July 2015 his T20I debut against Zimbabwe.

ODI Career

Manish made his ODI debut against Zimbabwe on 14th July 2015 at Harare Sports Club. The debutant scored 71 runs on his debut and had a partnership of 144 runs with Kedar Jadhav. Manish has played 26 ODI matches from which he has scored 492 runs at a strike rate of 91.96.

IPL career

Manish plays for SRH - Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League. He played as an opening batsman for his former IPL team, the RCB - Bangalore, and became the first Indian player to score a century in the IPL in 2009 IPL. He was part the RCB - Bangalore in the semifinal of 2009–10. Next, He was bought by the KKR - Kolkata in 2014. In the finals, he played a match-winning innings of 94 against KXIP - Punjab and was awarded Man of Match. He had been included in the list of top 10 scorers of 2 IPL seasons, 2014 and in 2017. In 2018, he was picked up by SRH - Hyderabad for INR 11 crore.

T20 Career

He has played 38 matches and has scored 707 runs at a strike rate of 127.62.
