He made his first-class debut on 17 December 2019, for Maharashtra in the 2019–20 Ranji Trophy. He was bought by the MI - Mumbai ahead of the 2020 Indian Premier League in the 2020 IPL auction. Interestingly, Digvijay has also acted in a Bollywood film called Kai Po Che! in 2013 where he played the role of 14-year-old Ali Hashmi, a child cricketer, around whom the plot of the movie revolved.
