Early signs

Andre Fletcher represented West Indies in the under-19 World Cup in 2006. But he shot into the limelight in the Stanford Super Series knock-out championship representing Stanford Superstars. Fletcher batted alongside Chris Gayle there in the championship and struck 90 off just 60 balls against Middlesex. Fletcher's innings comprised 3 fours and 7 sixes. He maintained the same form in the championship that had prize money of 20 million US dollars. Fletcher remained unbeaten 32 against England and earned 1 million US dollars. But despite having impressed with his steady batting Fletcher had the only major problems that he was not careful about the opponent team's fielding position. That is why he has been run out several times due to a lack of understanding whether the effort to take the particular run could be completed. He made his maiden first-class century in 2008 (unbeaten 103 for the Windward Islands) and that performance guided him to get into the senior West Indies side for international exposure. Andre Fletcher has scored 3678 struck.

ODI Career

Andre Fletcher who has not yet made his Test debut represented the senior West Indies side first in 2008 against Australia in the first One-Day International (ODI) at Kingstown.
