Temba Bavuma overview
Temba Bavuma is a cricketer from South Africa. He was 17th May 1990 at Cape Province in Cape Town, from the same street where two South African international cricketers, Thami Tsolekile, the wicket-keeper batsman, and Malusi Siboto, the medium-pacer had come up. But unlike his two neighbors, Bavuma is a specialist batsman with classical style and he is adorned in the South African cricket fraternity for his grit and patience on the crease.
Temba Bavuma is the only black cricketer to have scored a century for the South African national team in Test. Even though Bavuma does not have the power in his batting his strength is soundness in technique, especially off the back foot, and noticeable fitness. The 30-year-old batsman learned batting during his secondary school days in St. David's Marist College when Bavuma, at the same time had been playing for Soweto Cricket Club and learning batting technique from former coach Geoffrey Toyana. Along with his batting, Bavuma is also regarded as an excellent fielder.
