Zak Crawley overview
Zak Crawley is an English cricketer. He is a top-order right-hand batsman. He was on 3rd February 1998 in Bromley in South-East London. Studying at New Beacon School and then at Tonbridge School, the 6 fit 5 inches tall batsman learned cricket at Kent Cricket Academy. Crawley is described as a technically strong and natural stroke maker.
The interesting part of his career is that when he got a national call-up at the age of only 21 his batting average in domestic was simply ordinary, not at all helpful to impress the selectors. Still, the national selectors had given him a chance after watching his two first-class centuries which came against a strong fast bowling attack. One was against Nottinghamshire side containing James Pattinson and Jack Bell and the other century was made against Warwickshire where Ryan Sidebottom and Henry Brookes opened with the ball. The selectors noticed the excellent temperament and technique of Crawley against these fast bowlers.
