Rory Burns overview
Rory Burns is an English cricketer. He is a left-handed batsman who opens the innings in first-class cricket and stands behind the stumps occasionally. Rory was born on 26th August 1990 in Surrey. H is a batsman of impressive consistency. His game is compact. He likes to build up his game generally with drives. His key strength in batting is patience as he can consistently leave the dangerous deliveries, pitching outside the off-stump. That is why he was called primarily a batsman ideal for Test cricket.
Rory Burns got severely injured following a collision with his Surrey teammate Moises Henriques as they both collided on a skier in the NatWest T20 final at Arundel in 2015. Both the players were taken to hospital with Henriques breaking his jaw and Burns cut near his left eye. Burns had to undergo many stitches to recover from the injury finally.
