Early signs

Unlike his father Arjun has love for fast bowling since young age. He got enough advices and intricacies of the bowling from his father. He was also seen bowling at India team's net sessions for several times. The association with the experienced national level cricketers helped him to earn experience. The son of Master Blaster was also seen bowling at the nets to Indian women team in their preparation for the World Cup final at Lords in 2016 and during his bowling at the England senior cricketers at their nets in 2017 Arjun drew attention of the cricket fraternity with his ability to bowl Yorkers with precision. Arjun has been playing for Mumbai in the junior level (under -19) and other age-group competitions. He also was a part of Mumbai T20 league that was staged in 2019. He also made his national under-19 debut in 2018 when he toured with the team for a youth two-match Youth series against under-19 Sri Lanka.

Arjun Tendulkar has been bought by Mumbai Indians for the first time in the 2020 IPL auction at a base price of Rs 20 Lakh. Just a few days before Arjun hogged limelight, hitting 5 sixes in an over from off-spinner Hasir Dafedar to score a 31-ball 77 before scalping 3 wickets in the Police Invitation Shield Competition.

T20 Career

Arjun Tendulkar has so far played in two Twenty20 matches for Mumbai. In his opening match in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy against Haryana Arjun managed only 1 for 33 in 3 overs. He has been able to manage only 2 wickets in 2 matches.
