Jalaj Saxena is an Indian cricketer who was born in Indore, Madhya Pradesh on 15th December 1986.

The 34-year old cricketer is an all-rounder who is a right-hand batsman and a right-arm off-spinner.

However despite having had made debut in first-class cricket for Madhya Pradesh. Jalaj had begun his journey in the List 'A' game for Kerala. He also has represented Central Zone and India A cricket team. Saxena has batted in various positions but he generally opens the in the innings. After making his debut in first-class cricket in 2005, Jalaj recorded the second-best bowling figures in the history of Ranji Trophy. He had signed a one-year contract with Kerala as a professional cricketer for 2016-17 and in that particular season he was in tremendous form. As its reflection Saxena emerged as one of the country's best all-rounders to have been awarded with Lala Amarnath award for best all-rounder. His brother Jatin Saxena is also a first-class cricketer. Jalaj has played in 123 first-class matches and scored 6334 runs including 14 centuries, 31 fifties ad his best score of 194. He also has bagged 347 wickets in as many matches at a economy rate of 275 including his best figure of 16 for 154 runs. In the List 'A' game also Jalaj has scored 1957 runs from 99 matches ad scalped 116 wickets so far.

Jalaj has been purchased by Punjab Kings in the 2021 IPL for the first time .

Jalaj also has participated in 59 Twenty20 matches in the domestic circuit and scored 661 runs. With the ball he has bagged 59 wickets.
