Early signs

The 31-year old made his first-class debut for the Netherlands at just 15 with a lot of promise. In the whole of 2010, Kerveze 1,190 runs at 44.07 with three centuries. But lack of consistency in the next two seasons in first-class cricket forced him to get out of the national side. Kervezee retired from international cricket in 2013, citing his focus more on County cricket, and justified his decision in the very next year in 2014, being the County's second-highest run-scorer in a competition that helped them gain promotion. Still, he failed to carry on his consistency as in 2015 Kervezee looked in pathetic form, playing only four Championship matches and did not feature in any of the white ball games.

ODI Career

Within a year Kervezee took himself into mainstream cricket by taking part in ODI. After that, he played in the 2007 World Cup as a 17-year-old, one of only five players to have featured in the competition at such a young age. Worcestershire bosses were enchanted and registered him with the optimism that they had a cricketer who could be the replacement of Graeme Hick in the future. Kervezee had played in 39 ODIs and garnered 924 runs including the highest score of 92.
