Chris was born on March 2,1989, in Birmingham, West Midlands that is located in England. He plays for Warwickshire County Cricket Club as well as the England Cricket Team. He was also an immense part of the England squad which won the 2019 Cricket World Cup.

He is majorly a right-handed batsman and a right arm fast medium paced bowler with his own sort of line and length.

Early signs

He made his first-class debut against a touring with West Indies. For his side in the season he picked up 42 wickets at an average of 20.7 in total. His fit and fine performance helped him make a long space in England Lions side and also in the world T20 squad.

ODI Career

In April 2019, he was selected and included in the England squad for the 2019 cricket world cup. He won man of the match as well after scoring a puny sum of runs and on the other side he took 3 wickets as well. Since 1992, this is the first tournament where he had put the 3 wickets tag in the series and it was very helpful for the win. He took an average of 3-4 wickets in per match that had taken place by England.in total he has played 100 matches and scored 1226 which is really appreciable at a strike rate of 90.28 while in bowling he hook 143 wickets.

Test career

He made hi debut against Australia at Kennington Oval, Aug 21, 2013.He has scored 1281 runs in 37 matches with an strike rate of 50.85 and has also taken 111 wickets in those matches.

IPL career

Woakes made his IPL debut at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium against Gujarat Lions on April 07, 2017. He has played 18 matches and scored 63 runs with an average of 10.5. He also took 25 wickets in these matches with an Economy rate of 9.24.

T20 Career

Woakes made his international T20 debut against Australia at Adelaide Oval, Jan 12, 2011. He has played 8 matches and abled to scalp 7 wickets.
