Early signs

Mohammad Amir is a Pakistani Cricketer who was born on 13th April,1992. He belongs to a Punjabi family. Also he is the second child in his family amongst the seven brothers. Amir had once stated that Wasim Akram is his idol since Amir was just 11 years old. He was once selected in a local tournament and was also asked to move ahead with sports academy which was mainly originated by Bajwa in Rawalpindi.

ODI Career

Amir made his first ever international appearance in a one-day match against Sri Lanka at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, Jul 30, 2009. He has played 61 matches and has scalped 81 wickets at an economy rate of 4.78.

Test career

Amir has played in 36 test matches and has scalped 119 wickets at an economy rate of 2.86. He has 4 five-wicket hauls to his name and his best figure in a match stands at 7/64. But on a sad note, he was found match fixing in the lords, where he bowled no-balls deliberately for getting paid by a game syndicate. The ICC under the provisions of their Anti-Corruption Code banned him.

T20 Career

His T20 career get started against England at Kennington Oval on Jun 07, 2009, since his debut he has played in 48 matches and has taken 59 wickets.
