Overview

After a long wait in quarantine, the kiwis are going to come out of their home and play England at theirs. It has been a long time since these two met and it will be exciting to see the kiwis tackle the English bowlers on the English turf. The Kiwis start their campaign on 25th May with a 4-day practice match against Somerset at the Cooper Associates County Ground, Taunton at 3:30 PM IST. Then after 4 days, they play the 1st test against England at the mecca Lord’s in London on 2nd June, same time as the first match. The second and the last test of this tour will take place 4 days later at Edgbaston, Birmingham on June 10th. This is going to be an important tour for the cricket world because after a good gap of few months two teams are going to play international test matches. The players have been in a bio-bubble for so long that it will be equally tough for both teams. England pacer Jofra Archer has been ruled out of the Test series.

The English seamer had earlier complained of acute pain in his right elbow and hasn’t bowled in the final two days of the Sussex game. Another important news coming in is that Kiwi wicket-keeper BJ Watling is set to retire from all forms of cricket after the England tour. If he play all the three Tests on this tour, he'll surpass Adam Parore as New Zealand's most-capped Test keeper.
