Overview

Founded in 2012, The SRH - Hyderabad are the franchise cricket team based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India that plays in the IPL. The franchise is owned by the Sun TV Network since 2012 after the Hyderabad-based Deccan Chargers made their way out of the IPL. The franchise made their IPL debut in the year 2013, where they reached the playoffs, eventually finishing in the fourth position. The SRH - Hyderabad won their maiden IPL title in the 2016 season.

The team has qualified for the play-off stage of the tournament in every season since 2016 and also reached the finals in 2018 but finished as runners-up. The home ground of the team is the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket stadium, Hyderabad.
