2nd Day of Second Test Match
Today, the second test match was played and it was the second day of the test which was between the Australian team and the Indian team. Many players showed very great performances on the ground today, that is on 18th February 2023. Special thanks to Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel who have shown dynamic skills today.
Yet, the Indian team didn’t win today’s match but had put in great efforts and put forward a solid fight back. Today’s match was played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The Australian team had in total built up a huge score of around 263 runs which is really an incredible thing.
In answer, the Indian team showed great skills by making 262 runs but all the players were bowled out at this score and lost by just a single run. If the split of scores is seen then Rohit Sharma, the captain of the team himself has made around 32 runs off 69 balls which was already not a good start for the team.
Then Rahul got out after playing 41 balls and he made just seventeen runs. Pujara got out by making zero runs in after playing seven balls on the pitch. Next was Virat Kohli, who made a score of 44 runs within 84 balls by hitting boundaries with 4 fours.
Then Shreyas Iyer was on the pitch and he got out after making four runs in fifteen balls. Our other dynamic player named Ravindra Jadeja was also not in his full form today, he made a score of 26 runs in 74 balls involving four fours in the innings.
Next is Axar Patel, who has made 74 runs against the 155 balls and smacked around three sixes and nine fours which helped a lot in pushing the scoreboard of runs.
Ravichandran Ashwin has made a score of around 37 runs in 71 balls. Both these players have taken up the scoreboard today which took the Indian team towards a score of 262 runs.
The Australian team’s bowler showed great skills today, whose name was Nathan Lyon who has taken a total of five wickets against the Indian team. He was literally the star player of the Australian team in today’s match. He was the top-picked bowler by the captain in the match.
The Australian team lost its first wicket at the score of 62 runs. A player named Travis Head made a score of 39 runs and another player named Marnus Labuschagne made a score of sixteen runs on the pitch. The Australian team lost their opener batsman Usman Khawaja in the second innings only to the Indian all-rounder player named Ravindra Jadeja.
The Australian bowler was in great form today, the Indian batsman KL Rahul got out by an amazing lbw at 17 runs and just after two balls another Indian player named Cheteshwar Pujara was also appealed as lbw by the bowler Lyon. Our good wishes to the Australian team and hopefully the Indian team will do better in the next game.
