Pat Cummins Flies Back Home

Australian team captain Pat Cummins has gone back to his home due to his family illness. He was in India as the test matches were going on between the Indian team and the Australian team on the pitches of India. He will return soon for the third test match which will take place in India.

 

His team today,on 20th February 2023 has given the statement that he will return soon for the third test match which will be held in Indore. The Indian team is leading 2-0 in the test series match. India is currently retaining the Border Gavaskar Trophy.


In the opening match, the Indian team won with 132 runs and also went on the way to win the second test match by six wickets which were in Delhi. The third test match will be played from 1st March at the Holkar Stadium which is situated in Indore.


Pat Cummins is basically a fast bowler who is considered one of the best bowlers currently present in the World. His full name is Patrik James Cummins. He was born on 8th May in 1993 in New South Wales, Australia. He is an international cricketer from Australia and he is also the captain of the team in the test series and in one-day internationals too.


Last year in the month of May he was rated as the number one bowler present around the globe according to the ICC Test bowling ratings. He is currently twenty-nine years old.


He is also recognized by the name Cummo and by the nickname Cider too. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm fast bowler too. He started his career in the year 2011 and is still playing in all formats of cricket.


He made his debut in the test series on the 17th of November in 2011 which was played against the South African team and the last test match he played was on the 17th of February in 2023 which was played against the Indian team.

 

 

He also made his debut in the one-day internationals on the 19th of October in 2011 which was played against South Africa and the last one-day internationals he played was on the 22nd of November in 2022 which was against England team.

 

He made his twenty-twenty match debut on the 13th of October in 2011 which was against the South African team and the last twenty-twenty match was played on the 4th of November in 2022 which was against the Afghanistan team. He has made a total of 884 runs in 47 test matches. He has also played in 75 one-day internationals and made 324 runs in this format.


Pat was also part of the team in 2015 when the team won the World Cup. The team also won the Twenty-twenty World Cup in the year 2021. He was just an 18 years old boy when he made his debut in the test series in the year 2011. From 2020 to 2022 he played for the Kolkata Knight Riders, an IPL (Indian Premier League) team.
