In modern cricket, scores of 300-350 have become really common as a result, it has become quite common for the big-hitters to send it out of the park. 1. MS Dhoni

MS Dhoni is known around the world for his Helicopter shots. The Indian Captain was at his best when he smashed Clint McKay towards the long-on region for a massive six during the Commonwealth Bank series. That huge six was measured to have traveled a distance of 112 meters.

2. Ijaz Ahmed

Ijaz Ahmed is a former Pakistani right-handed batsman who was recognized as one of the most underrated cricketers of his era. Okay, so the year was 1999 and Pakistan was playing India at Mohali. During Pakistan’s chase, Ahmed hit two massive sixes, one of which was 115 meters long and this was against our own Virendra Sehwag.

3. Daniel Christian

Daniel Christian had already made a name for himself as a big hitter before he even stepped into the International arena. Daniel was playing a match for the Hobart Hurricanes against the Brisbane Heat. That is when the Australian smashed a huge six out of the park and it traveled 117 meters before landing into the crowd. Even, Daniel could not believe his eyes.

4. Yuvraj Singh

Yuvraj Singh is a player who cannot be left out from the list if you are discussing sixes. The left-handed batsman was at the peak of his career during the ICC World Cup T20 2007. This is the same tournament, during which he clobbered Stuart Broad for six sixes in an over. On another occasion, the left-hander flicked Brett Lee over the square leg boundary, and it went for a big six. He hammered a 119 meters six which is still etched in every cricket fan’s mind.

5. Chris Gayle

Chris Gayle is Known as an explosive hitter of the cricket ball. Gayle hit a monstrous 120 meters six against India in the ICC World Cup 2010. The left-hander smashed Yusuf Pathan out of the ground, and it was an enormous hit from the West Indies southpaw.

6. Corey Anderson

Corey Anderson is another batsman who is known to hit a few big sixes. In a match against India at McLean Park, Napier, Anderson hit 4 impressive sixes out which two landed at the roof of the stadium. Mind you, Napier does not have a small ground and the longest six sailed for 122 meters.

7. Mark Waugh 

Mark Waugh was a former Australian cricketer who was widely regarded as one of the most gifted players ever to play the game. He made the crowd go crazy after he hit a massive six against Daniel Vettori on November 21st, 1997 during the 2nd Test match of New Zealand’s tour to Australia. It was touted as the longest six by an Australian.

8. Shahid Afridi

Known as the king of sixes, Shahid Afridi is one contender who cannot miss out on this list. On January 30th, 2005 in a match against Australia he hit the ball into the second-tier stands of Perth. This was one of the longest sixes in the history cricket.

9. Shahid Afridi 

Known as the king of sixes, Shahid Afridi already holds the record for the longest six in International cricket flying a monstrous 158 meters against South Africa, during the 3rd ODI at Johannesburg on March 17, 2013

10. Albert Trott

Albert Trott, the only Test cricketer for both England and Australia has an incredibly unique story. This is a six which holds an iconic place in the history of Cricket. This was when Albert cleared the Lord’s Pavilion. In 1899, Trott cleared the historic building completely and is believed to be the only batsman to have ever done so. Given the fact it was almost 120 years ago, this one is definitely worthy of being called the best six ever in the history of the game.
