MI V/S SRH (17TH Match ) Pre-Match Analysis (Today’s Match Prediction Dream 11 )
Head-to-Head
It is Super Sunday in the UAE and no we can’t keep calm! Back to back matches coming our way in this Sunday belter. We saw how exciting it got on Saturday with 4 teams battling it out and today is going to be even bigger and better as four more teams take on each other firing up this edition like never before. Today, in the first match, MI - Mumbai will meet the SRH - Hyderabad at the Sharjah Cricket stadium at 3:30 pm and we can bet it’s going to rain sixes today! First off, it is important to understand that these are two teams which are coming off a win. It seems like Mumbai have left behind all the rustiness and have discovered their best combination. Their batting department is looking good even though their top order is trying to find its feet. Their bowling department is gaining confidence with every passing match. The good thing is that they are in a commanding position with the bat during the death overs which we saw against Punjab and Bangalore in previous matches. Given the fact that Sharjah has smaller boundaries on each side, it will be interesting to see how much score is made today from both ends!
On the other hand, the SRH - Hyderabad started their campaign with two consecutive defeats against the RCB - Bangalore and the KKR - Kolkata before finally securing a victory against the Delhi Capitals by a margin of 15 runs. Now, going by this analysis it will not be wrong to state that the SRH - Hyderabad will be high on confidence from their previous win against CSK - Chennai but will have a lot to work on given their current situation.
Pitch Conditions
The match will be played at the Sharjah Cricket stadium, UAE. Here, Teams batting first have an upper hand generally. The pitch has got good bounce, and the ball does not do much here, so both teams will look to earn some extra runs at the beginning.
Moreover, dew will also play an important factor so whoever wins the toss will look to bat first. The ground is short and has 60-meter boundaries in long on and 55 meter in straight and 65-meter boundary in mid-wicket. This is good news for both teams as both teams have some really good hitters in their arsenal. This could be a high-scoring match after all.
Batting
MI :
Defending champions Mumbai will be relying heavily on their top order tonight and skipper Rohit sharma will have to fire with his bat along with partner Quinton De Kock. Although the former is looking in a sublime form and is capable of taking the match away, the latter has failed to fire in the past and will have to find his feet soon. Surya kumar Yadav is looking strong in the middle while Ishan Kishan is in the form of his life. Then, there are Pandya brothers and Kieron Pollard. This looks like a dangerous batting attack in a small ground like Sharjah and the if they click, we may see a score that is more than 200-220 in today’s match.
SRH :
SRH has both stability and attack in their batting line-up with Jonny Bairstow and David Warner at the top and Williamson coming in at number 3. The good thing about this team is that they are full of all-rounders with Mohammed Nabi, Jason holder, Vijay Shankar, and Rashid Khan. There is Manish Pandey who provides additional stability to the middle-order and there are some interesting young guns Abdul Samad and Abhishek Sharma and of course under-19 prodigy Priyam Garg. They will be high on confidence after their seven-run victory over a strong team like CSK where their middle order clicked really well. They will be hoping that all their star batsmen fire at the top and can take it deep right to the tail because let us warn you this is going to be a high-scoring match.
Bowling
MI :
Their bowling department is looking strong enough to take on the SRH - Hyderabad. Jasprit Bumrah has displayed why he is the best bowler in the world as he has been maintaining a low economy throughout and will be their go-to bowler in the death overs, there is not doubt about that. He’ll be accompanied by Trent boult and James Pattison who were exceptional in their last outings. They have Rahul Chahar in the spin department accompanied by Anukul Roy and Jayant Yadav. It will be interesting to see how they pick their mix of bowlers on this high-scoring pitch.
SRH :
SRH has always been looked at as one of the best bowling attacks the league. They have always maintained the discipline in their bowling attack in the past and have looked really good this season. Today, they are backed by bowlers like Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rashid Khan, Billy Stanlake, Mohammed Nabi, and Vijay Shankar and let us tell you that all of them are in good form. Also, both Khaleel Ahmed and Thangarasu Natarajan are looking to make a mark. They also hold some interesting talent on the bench with the likes of Siddharth Kaul, Shahbaz Nadeem and Sandeep sharma which they haven’t used yet. They will have to fire today to restrict Mumbai to a lower total than expected.
History
Both the teams have faced each other on 14occasions in the IPL so far, and both teams are tied at a 7-7 head-to-head win record over each other. Overall, Mumbai has four IPL titles and is considered to be one of the strongest teams with a win percentage of 53%, while SRH has won the trophy once but they also have a strong win percentage and has what it takes to take on a team like Mumbai. Since both, the teams hold a particularly good win percentage and it will be amusing to see how they fare against each other in this edition.

Match Prediction :
After taking a good look at the team sheets it is clear that it is going to be cracker of a contest! SRH is looking really good on paper and will look to capitalize on their top-order’s strength to make a big score on the board for Mumbai or even chase a big score down even if Mumbai bats first. There bowling attack is looking strong like always and they are sure to give Mumbai a run for their money.
On the other hand, Mumbai’s batting order is in sublime form with all their guns firing canons from top to bottom. The problem is even if SRH bowls really well in the match they are still going face problems because Mumbai’s batting order runs very deep right up to the tail and Sharjah is a batting pitch with smaller boundaries and this is a T20 match! So Mumbai may take the game away if SRH are not their best at all times.
