RCB V/S KKR (Match 30) Pre-Match Analysis (Today’s Match Prediction) VIVO IPL 2021: Captain, Vice-captain, Fantasy gaming Tips, Probable Playing XIs for Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kolkata Knight riders T20 Match at Narendra Modi Stadium, 7:30 PM IST  3rd May  2021

Head-To-Head

What a Super Sunday we had last night! Just when we thought this has been too much excitement for night, in comes a busy Monday! Yes! It’s time for the first game of the new week in the Indian T20 league and the game going to take place between the Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders. Bangalore has shown some ultimate character this season and have been unbeaten in 5 encounters out of 7, while Kolkata lost to Delhi in their last match as they gave, another match they could have won but didn’t. In this particular game KKR will have come all guns blazing, given the fact that , RCB are looking like a much stronger side this season and it will not be easy to defeat them tonight. The addition of Glenn Maxwell has provided them with really good balance, while another player Harshal Patel has been a sensation till now doing some really good job in the death overs. They will be hoping that Dan Christian fires tonight because it is slow pitch and Kolkata has some really good bowlers in their arsenal.

On the other hand, Kolkata will be worrying about their middle-order which has been failing miserably without any reason and that will have to improve as soon as possible. At this point, the only batsman proving his mettle at the highest level is Nitish Rana. They will also have to make some important changes in their bowling line-up, as Shivam Mavi and Krishna have not fired in the previous two games. Kamlesh Nagarkoti may find a place in the team tonight as this is a good pitch for bowling. Its’s going to be fantastic start to an exceptional week of Cricket.

Pitch Conditions

We have seen how things have turned out at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The pitch is turning out be a nightmare for batsmen during the late overs for both teams. It is going to be a paradise for the spin bowlers as the ball is turning a lot here and it is not easy under the lights. If RCB bats first, we can expect a good total on the board and KKR then may have a big task at hand. KKR will be hoping they win the toss and bat first so that they have a chance of getting Mumbai out early in the second innings.

Batting

KKR:

KKR have been unpredictable with their opening batting pair till now, they are yet to find the right combination. They rely heavily on Andre Russell and Dinesh Karthik to finish things off which is a strategy they will have to change if they wish to reach the playoffs. Their top order looks nothing out of the ordinary at the moment with two youngsters Shubman Gill and Rahul Tripathi looking in good touch. Eoin Morgan needs to promote himself up the order, so he has more balls to play. Dinesh Karthik and Russel can only provide them a perfect finish if they fix their batting order correctly.

RCB:

The RCB have some really strong batsmen including the best batsmen in the world Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers in their line-up and the good news is that both are back on the scoring sheet! If they want to go for some interesting options for tonight, there is Daniel Christian and Finn Allen and also a certain Daniel Sams. Youngsters Devdutt Padikkal, Shivam Dube, Pawan Negi, Shahbaz Ahmed and Washington Sundar provide them plenty of options to choose from and these boys are getting good exposure. Glenn Maxwell will be their go to batsman, he is in the best form of his life at the moment.

Bowling:

KKR:

One thing that every cricket expert can agree with is that KKR's forte is certainly their bowling, especially the spin bowling attack. This year, they have also included Shivam Mavi, Sunil Narine, Varun Chakravarthy, Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Shakib. Pat Cummins will lead their bowling and Russell mixes the deliveries well. Which means they do not have to heavily rely on just one bowler and there will be space for everyone to come out and rise to the occasion.

RCB:

The Bangalore team looks as strong in the bowling department as they are in the batting department. Navdeep Saini has been phenomenal to watch and did an exceptional job in their previous match, bowling in the death overs. Umesh Yadav is going through a rough patch but is still looking promising.  Mohammed Siraj and Kane Richardson add a lot of depth to the line-up while the star of the show this year has been Yuzvendra Chahal with some really good performances and the purple cap contender for his team.

Match Prediction:

We have already witnessed an encounter between these two teams this season. RCB dominated the whole game throughout the previous time and KKR would be well aware of that. This time KKR should play more confidently against them if they remember where they went wrong. RCB on the other hand will be confident to take away the match as they know the flaws KKR are experiencing this season and will use it to their advantage.
