Sachin visits his adopted village in MP
Legendary Indian batter Sachin Tendulkar visited Sewaniya, a remote village in Madhya Pradesh his foundation had adopted. Sachin's foundation is associated with several social welfare projects including nutritious meals for the children and also nurturing sports through 'Seva kutirs'. Sachin visited the village to take stock of the projects including the supervision of a school in the memory of his late father Ramesh Tendulkar. Parivaar an NGO that is supported by Sachin's foundation runs these 'Seva kutirs' for the most vulnerable children. Tendulkar met with the young teachers and also visited the kitchen to inspect whether nutritious meals are being cooked. Tendulkar's foundation is also supporting the construction of a school in Sandalpur that will provide free education for around 2300 children within the next 10 years.
