Dhyan Chand

One of the all-time great hockey players is an Indian field hockey player. One of the greatest Olympians in Olympic history, in the opinion of his supporters.

Between 1926 and 1948, he had a career-high 1000+ goals scored. From 1928 to 1936 in a row, he also won three gold Olympic medals. He was the subject of headlines in a German newspaper at the time.

 

Ric Charlesworth

The former Australian field hockey player and coach has been honored with the Advance Australia Award, one of the most prestigious national honors. For his contributions to the field, he received the honor in 1984.

He took part in 5 Olympics and was a vital part of the Australian team. In London in 1986, Ric guided his team to the world hockey cup win. In addition to being inducted into the Australian Hall of Fame, he was awarded a sports medal.

 

Paul Litjens 

With 268 goals, one of the most illustrious field hockey players ever. In both the Champions trophy in 1981 and the Olympics in 1976, Paul was the top scorer.

Later, he joined the national team after beginning with hockey clubs. All told, he participated in 177 games.

 

Hassan Sardar

He is one of Pakistan's best players and is ranked among the top 10 all-time hockey players. In 1984 in Los Angeles, he served as team captain and guided his squad to victory. 

Along with competing in the inaugural hockey World Cup, he earned a gold medal for Pakistan. The first world cup Hassan participated in was a victory, making him the top center forward. The Pakistan field hockey team presently has him as its head coach.

 

Sohail Abbas 

Of all the Pakistani field hockey players, Sohail Abbas is one of the best. In the annals of international hockey, he is renowned for breaking the 100 and 200-goal thresholds in record time.

His drag-flick conversion rate of 65% earned him the title of greatest flicker. Only he has scored 21 hat tricks, including a double hat trick. In Pakistan, he leads all scorers.

 

Teun De Nooijer

The best hockey player in history is regarded as having been a former Dutch field hockey player. In the Hockey India League, he participated for both the Dutch team HC Bloemendaal and the Uttar Pradesh Wizards.

At the Sydney and Atlanta Olympics in 2000 and 1996, respectively, he took home gold medals. Both the Olympic finals in Athens in 2004 and London in 2012 were won by Tens teams. In actuality, he has taken part in 400 games throughout his career
