Basketball is a sport played between two teams. Each team consists of around five players and plays on a big court. Each team has to put the basketball in the opponent’s team hoop to gain points for their team.
This sport was first played on 21st of December 1891, approximately 130 years back and took place in Springfield, Massachusetts in the United States. It became a part of the Olympic Games after 1936.

LeBron James
The first player on the list is LeBron James, who was born on the 30th of December in 1984. He comes from America and plays basketball professionally. His full name is LeBron Raymone James Sr. and is also recognized by the nickname “King James”.
He is a two-time gold medal winner at the Olympic Games in the year 2008 and 2012 which were held in Beijing and London respectively. He also achieved gold at the FIBA Americas Championship held in 2007 in Las Vegas.
2. Michael Jordan
The second player on the list is Michael Jordan, a former professional player from America and now a great businessman. He was born on 17 February 1963. His real name is Michael Jeffrey Jordan.
He achieved two gold medals at the Olympic Games which were held in Los Angeles and Barcelona in 1984 and 1992 respectively. He also gained gold in 1983 at the Pan American Games which took place in Caracas.
3. Magic Johnson
The third player on the list is Magic Johnson, again a professional basketball player from America. 14th of August 1959 was the day when he was born. He is one of the best point guards we have ever seen in history.
He has played for almost thirteen seasons in the NBA (National Basketball Association). He won a gold medal at the Olympic Games in 1992 which was held in Barcelona. He also achieved gold at FIBA Americas Championship in 1992 which took place in Portland.
4. Wilt Chamberlain
Fourth on the list is Wilt Chamberlain, a professional basketball player from America.
He was born on the 21st of August 1936 and died on the 12th of October 1999. His full name is Wilt Norman Chamberlain.
He has a career span from the year 1958 till the year 1973. He has set many records in NBA seasons. He was also made the President of the league at the IVA Hall of Fame.
Oscar Robertson
Fifth and last on the list is Oscar Robertson, a professional basketball player from America. He was born on the 24th of November 1938. His full name is Oscar Palmer Robertson and was also recognized by the name “the Big O”.
He achieved gold at the Olympic Games in 1960 which took place in Rome. He also received gold at the Pan American Games in 1959 which was held in Chicago. He played around ten years in the Cincinnati Royals team from 1960 to 1970 and after that his four years were dedicated to the Milwaukee Bucks team till 1974
