Asghar Afghan receives 'guard of honor' from teammates
Former Afghanistan captain Asghar Afghan said goodbye to cricket on Sunday, guiding Afghanistan to a convincing 62-run victory against Namibia in the ongoing Twenty20 World Cup. Afghan struck 31 off 23 deliveries in his last ever international innings. During his 17-year long illustrious career, Afghan played 6 tests, 114 ODIs, and 74 T20s. He has scored 1351 in his T20 career. Afghan also has scored 20 half-centuries and 2 centuries across all formats. As Afghan walked off the pitch on Sunday after being out, he received a guard of honor from his teammates. Afghanistan supporters also waited for him inside the stadium to give him a salute.
