Babar Azam dethrones Virat Kohli from ODI ranking
Virat Kohli’s long three-year reign at the top of ICC ODI ranking stopped as Pakistani batsman Babar Azam dethroned him, being the fourth batsman of his country to attain the position. Kohli was the number one ranked ODI batsman for the last 1258 days. Babar Azam’s brilliant 82-ball 94 against South Africa in the last ODI at Centurion helped him gain 13 points to reach 865 points and take an 8-point lead from Kohli who now is in the second position.
