Ben Strokes replaces Joe Root pulls on for his first test against West Indies
One of the most acclaimed names in the cricket fraternity!
Joe Root, the current captain of the England team won't be heading up for the upcoming match against West Indies. Joe Root has planned to leave the camp and be with his wife, who is expecting her second child.
Joe is an incredible all-rounder, who performs test batting, ODI batting, and more. Moreover, his bowling is off-break hence he brings up the light in the team.
Adding to that, the pandemic is again circling over the cricketers. Therefore, Joe has also decided to come back and take a seven-day self-isolation pack in his schedule. This is just to combat the COVID.
Vice-Captain Ben Strokes will lead the front at Southampton. The match starts on the 8th of July.
